Where are you based?
A: African Luxe ships from our warehouse in Buffalo, NY.
Do you have a storefront location?

Where do your products come from?
A: Absolutely all our goods are handmade in Africa. The country of origin of each piece is noted on its product page. You can also check our blog, Africa Fabulous, for more information on the designers, artists and artisans and cultural significance behind each piece.
Rest assured that all our pieces, including feather headdresses, horns and bones and shells are certified by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. African Luxe only carries products that are CITES approved (Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species).
What does hand-made and one-of-a-kind mean?
A: Each piece is made by hand: hand-woven, beaded, dyed, sculpted, punctured and sewn in small batches just for African Luxe. This means that there are variations in color, for instance in our felt rocks or headdresses. In the case of our lighting, each piece is punctured by hand, without the use of stencils, so slight variations do occur. We believe that these variations enhance the product, making them truly unique and one-of-a-kind. If you are concerned about these variations, we strongly encourage you to contact our Design Associates for detailed pictures of current in-stock pieces that will allow you to make an informed choice before buying.
Where do you ship to?
We ship anywhere within the Continental US. If you are in Canada, please visit Snob to order. If you are ordering Internationally or from a remote area in the US, please give us a call.
What if I change my mind?
We want you to be happy with your purchase. Prior to your order, if you have questions regarding product, we encourage you to contact our experienced Design Associates by phone or email who can help you choose the perfect piece.
If you change your mind before your item has shipped, we urge you to contact us immediately for a full refund.
We do not accept returns, unless your product has arrived damaged. In the case of damaged product, please contact us as soon as possible so that we may help you rectify the situation promptly. All our shipments are fully insured. We do not accept returns on feather headdresses.
How do I pay?
We kindly accept Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Canadian and US Money Orders,US checks. Government sales taxes may apply based on the applicable province/state sales tax rate and the location to which the order is being shipped unless you are tax exempt. All dollars are in $US currency. How do you ship my pieces?
Shipping is via UPS. We use UPS to ship our small packages. For larger items we’ll work with you to find the most suitable delivery method. These items will be noted on the website. Shipping charges are noted in the description of each item.. Shipment is within 5 – 7 business days after payment is received, and you will be notified by e-mail with shipment details and tracking numbers Customer pays all freight charges, duty and sales taxes where applicable.
What is your return policy?
Purchases are fully refundable, if the product is deemed damaged and if returned within seven business days of its delivery date. Please contact African Luxe immediately upon receipt to make arrangements. Do not return without African Luxe authorization. The purchase price (excluding packing and shipping) will be refunded when returned merchandise has been received. Items damaged in return transit due to improper packaging will not be refunded. We photograph all our pieces packaged and sealed so that we can ascertain if damage has occurred in transit. We will advise you of all shipping instructions prior to your receipt of the goods. We cannot be responsible if the instructions are not adhered to. We do not accept returns on feather headdresses.
